After training to become a supermarket manager, I decided to do something in ICT. As an IT professional, I have always been interested in facilitating life through technology.
My first job in 1999 was with the Document Management company ZyLAB . Here I started in the support department and through relevant projects in various countries for 7 years I have seen a lot of the world.
After this I worked as a Business Analyst at the ICT department of Sargas (currently Maandag®). This organization was quickly taken over and made independent. The new owner would like to take me as an IT manager to set up a system for this new organization. I could not decline this offer.

I have been working in IT since the early 1980s. In the late 90's I specialized in digital archiving. Since I saw that there were few affordable solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises, I started setting up a company that focused on this market. In the mid-90s I also started the evening course Business Administration at the Catholic University of Nijmegen. This is because I believe that as an IT professional you should have knowledge and experience of business and change processes in the organizations you work for. At the end of 2001 I successfully completed the training and obtained my Doctorate degree.
